Rushes

April 30 – July 26, 2025
Opening on April 29 from 6–10pm

The group exhibition Rushes examines the pervasive influence of screen-based technologies on our daily lives where private and public spaces are increasingly enmeshed. Borrowing its title from the term “rushes”—used in film and video production to describe unedited footage—the exhibition brings together artists that engage with the apparatus of broadcasting and video. The works presented reimagine the immediacy of these media by repurposing readily available materials such as found footage, smartphone recordings, TV monitors, and everyday objects. Reflecting on the rapidly shifting tensions between technology, space, and politics that shape contemporary life, these artistic positions use aesthetics of the mundane as tools for experimentation and critique.

Rushes is curated by Juliette Desorgues and Raoul Klooker.
